Infrastructure Group launched in London

A move to redress the huge infrastructure deficit in Nigeria was the main focus on agenda at the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management in the City of London on Thursday 18th July 2019, during the official launch of Nigerian-British Infrastructure Group.

The group, an offshoot of The Nigerian- British Business Forum aims to Interface with the three tiers of government in Nigeria, namely; Local, State and Federal Government. In his Keynote address, the President of the Nigerian British Business Forum, Prince Afolabi Andu, highlighted the need and urgency for the Government to focus it’s resources and policies on driving a sustainable economy through strategic investments in key and essential infrastructure facilities, noting that by so doing, the country will be put back to effective work through the creation of job opportunities particularly for the country’s teeming youth, which will ultimately help to position them for a bright and productive future.

Other Speakers that spoke at the inaugural workshop were Engr Dapo Sulu (Water Resources), Engr Fred Oshunniyi(Railway), Mr Lance Kadiri (Finance), Engr Gina Ayoola (Technology) and Mr Adeyemi Akeju (Housing). The workshop was concluded with a question and answer session.
